The Taoyuan City Government’s Department of Economic Development has compiled the entrepreneurial efforts and success stories of these companies into a book titled “Winning at the Turning Point.” Mayor Cheng Wen-Tsan, attending the “12th Excellent Enterprise Excellence Award Book Launch Event,” stated that this book allows readers and aspiring entrepreneurs to explore the ways of successful business management, enabling them to learn from the success stories or key failures of others and become a model for young entrepreneurs with aspirations.

Cheng Wen-Tsan pointed out that Taiwan's small and medium-sized enterprises have a short learning curve and a strong entrepreneurial spirit. They not only focus on their business but also continuously innovate and learn. Unicorn enterprises are not built in a day, and the awards in the five categories are all highly valuable. The 24 winning companies come from various industries and serve as exemplary models for other businesses. The future development of these award-winning companies is promising, and he also hopes that the Taoyuan City Government's Department of Economic Development can continue to cooperate with the media to promote Taoyuan's businesses, fostering mutual learning and development within the industry.

He mentioned that entrepreneurship comes in various forms, and both central and local governments should continue to support diverse forms of innovation and entrepreneurship. Taoyuan, as a cradle for businesses and the location with the highest industrial output in Taiwan, aspires to become a thriving entrepreneurial community. The Taoyuan City Government has been organizing the Excellent Enterprise Excellence Award since 2007, and more than a hundred high-quality enterprises have been recognized to date. The 12th Taoyuan City Excellent Enterprise Excellence Award is divided into five major categories based on industry characteristics. These categories include the “Eternal Enterprise Excellence Award,” which represents companies deeply rooted in Taoyuan for over 30 years and have withstood market tests to remain successful. The “Innovation and Intelligence Excellence Award” highlights innovative research and development capabilities, promoting growth through innovation. The “Environmental Sustainability Excellence Award” actively promotes green production, green products, and environmental awareness. The “Service Quality Excellence Award” emphasizes a people-centric service attitude to meet diverse consumer needs. Finally, the “Youth Entrepreneurship Excellence Award” encourages businesses to fearlessly start small and continue developing. After the selection process, 24 companies were awarded.
